Callanetics Bootcamp?

breakfast: melon

snack: almonds, raw milk

lunch: caprese salad

dinner: roma beans, potatoes, cucumber

When I hurt my back, Jessi sent me a great site filled with a ton of information on Callanetics and comments from trainers. I've learned a lot since reading through it. One of the things a trainer mentioned was that you shouldn't go three days without doing Callanetics or you'll begin to undo some of the results. If you go three days without doing it, you should do it for 3-4 days in a row to get back into shape.

This reminds me of T-Tapp. You're not supposed to go 3 days without doing at least the BWO+ or you'll start to lose muscle. Whenever you're just starting T-tapp or have missed a week, you're supposed to do a full workout for at least 4 consecutive days. I don't remember all of the scientific reasons, but it's somehow supposed to change the physiology of the body and make it start producing results.

When I hurt my back, I missed over a week of Callanetics. I started back up last week, doing it a couple of times, but I didn't do it for consecutive days. Tomorrow, I think I'll try a 4-day Callanetics bootcamp and see what happens. I'll probably do the regular Callanetics 10 years younger program I typically do, although I'm sure I could do CardioCallanetics or Callanetics Evolution with similar effectiveness.

Callanetics = ouch

breakfast: granola

lunch: pita bread, atter kik, vegetable wat

snack: peanuts, sauerkraut

dinner: granola

workout: callanetics 10/10, 30-minute walk

I really tried to pay attention to my form and to work to my max when doing Callanetics today. All I can say is ouch. It really shows me how I've been slacking off when doing the moves. I have muscles that hurt that I don't even remember working. I can only imagine that if I continue to workout like this that the results will be intensified. It's amazing how deceptively simple Callanetics is, as well as how fast you see visible results. I can't believe it hasn't caught on more. Why slave away for hours in the gym every day, when you can torture yourself in the privacy of your own home 2-3 times a week for less than an hour? I'm so glad I gave up on T-Tapp!

Day 4

Breakfast: strawberry-banana smoothie (strawberries, banana, qephor, raw milk)

Lunch: avocado bruschetta, ricotta tart without crust

Dinner: chickpea and tomato curry soup, roasted potatoes

Workout: Callanetics 10n10

I'm really amazed at how quickly Callanetics works. I did T-Tapp for a couple of years, even worked with a trainer, but the only improvements I noticed were better posture and my back felt great. The workouts were so physically and mentally draining. It truly isn't easy. I kept at it because of all of it's promises about health benefits. Obviously after a couple of years of doing it without results, it wasn't the promise of losing a size in two weeks.

It seems like with Callanetics I'm getting everything I had hoped T-Tapp would deliver: my posture is improving even faster, my waist is smaller, my arms are becoming more defined, I feel great... I think the best thing is that it's so relaxing and easier than T-Tapp. Rather than watching the clock, dreading how much time was left, dreading certain moves, dreading even working out, the time flies by. I'm done before I know it and the workout is the same amount of time. I wish I had tried it sooner.
